Granted, this isn’t a high tech piece of measuring equipment, but you can see a bit more space between the next-to-top cog and the chain’s outer plate. Chain, 10 Film Versus Photostimulable Phosphor and Flat Panel Detector, 10 Patient Demographics, 11 Technologist Markers, 11 Technical Choices, 11 Speed. Oddly, chain width isn’t much different at all. Looks like about 1.2mm difference between cogs. This seemed to help a little bit, but still not working perfectly. Just for fun, here’s the visual difference between Campagnolo’s Super Record 11-speed (left) and the new SRAM Red 10-speed (right).

The 12-speed series shift units box contains only 16 compatible units, or 9 if you ignore left/right versions. That’s ‘only’ 28 if you consider the left/right versions to be the same. I originally got this 11 speed drivetrain because I have having a similar, but worse probelm with the 10 speed drivetrain. For the 10-speed and 11-speed Di2 series, the compatibility charts list a massive 50 shift units. I tried putting the 10 speed cassette spacer behind it, and that seemed to fix it. However when I installed it onto my hadley hub, there was a little bit of play.

My main question is (and please forgive me here), how do you install an 11 speed cassette? The 11 speed XT cassette didn't come with a spacer like the 10 speed cassette did. Frame flexing or alignment issue? (no way this can be the problem) around 5.9mm wide for 10-speed ones, so that’s 0.25mm narrower from the center of the cog tooth to the end of the chain pin on. Chainring needs to be spaced inboard a little moreģ. Chains for 11-speed systems are around 5.4mm wide on the outside, vs. I think I have this narrowed down to 3 possible root causesġ. It's loud, and annoying, and I can feel a slight movement.

It's not really "skipping" but it feels more like the chain is stelling onto the chainring while it flexes or something.

And it seems like it'll shift perfectly, but then when i crank on it, it kinda "skips" into position for some reason. Fewer cogs also means less weight, a wider chain for better mud shedding it even fits on standard 10-speed freehub bodies so you don’t need to buy new wheels for no reason. I just installed my brand new 11 speed drivetrain on my megatrail yesterday. With 10-speeds, 11-48t range and evenly spaced gear steps, the ADVENT X cassette allows riders to shift less often to find the right gear, while still having enough range to ride what they want. The important numbers here are: Spoke Flange Spacing doesn’t change -50mm on both hubs- so no theoretical reduction of triangulation. Top half is the new 11-speed, bottom half shows current 10-speed for their 240 rear hub. So probably a dumb question, but I have not really kept up on bike standards the last year or 2. This diagram specifically calls out Shimano, which means it’ll fit SRAM, too.
